The school day for our children begins at 9:30a.m. sharp. Please drop your child to school as close to this time as possible.

In the interests of school security, we respectfully ask that adults do not accompany children to assembly areas unless otherwise stated.

The green gate inside the main gate and entrances to the school will be locked shortly after the school day begins. Children who are late must enter the school through the main entrance. Latecomers are recorded by the secretary.

The Board of Management and the staff of St Mary's N.S. does not accept responsibility for children before the official opening time of 9:30a.m. (9:20a.m. for children in Junior & Senior Infants). The only exception to this is when there is an approved activity, for example a school trip, which may necessitate an earlier start.

Junior & Senior Infants

Children in Junior & Senior Infants assemble in the school hall where they are supervised. The door to the school hall is just inside the main gate and will be opened at 9:20a.m.

1st to 6th Class

Children attending 1st to 6th Class enter the school grounds through the green gate (turn left once inside the main gate) and assemble in their designated area in the playground. Children are expected to wait in their area and will be collected by their teacher.

Suaimhneas Mhuire

Children attending Suaimhneas Mhuire assemble with their parents in the areas outside their classroom's external door.
